...this morning after getting up, Brooke was snuggling in bed with Mommy and Daddy and she was just jabbering away... she then announced "Go Potty" and I ran her into her little potty and we ripped down the piggy jammies and tore the diaper right off and she sat on down and sang happily while she did her VERY FIRST PEE PEE on her BIG GIRL POTTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


She got up, turned to look in the bowl and pointed with the BIGGEST grin on her face and said "Pee-Pee"!!! I broke into dance SO excited that she told me she needed to go and she REALLY WENT! This was the first time she has ever told us she needed to GO (we have yet to really start potty training and she has only sat on the potty at her leisure). We cheered and she was SO very proud of herself! She ran in to tell Daddy that she went pee-pee on the potty and Daddy cheered for her!!! She proudly earned 2 'M's' (M & M's), her favorite candy!!!

As soon as Nanny Mary arrived at 7, we shared the news and we all cheered for our BIG GIRL!!!

thought i'd share some new pictures of the family....

now with the holidays approaching, i cant believe the last year we have had. i read thru some of the old posts and it's a nice reminder to re-read how much we were looking forward to Brooke's arrival. well, now she is 15 months and she is as cute as a button! time fly's so fast! i cant believe that it has just been 15 months since she made her grand debut. i love her so incredibly much and she has been such an amazing addition to our family. i am now looking forward to baby number 2; hopefully a girl. i think we are aiming for baby number 2 to arrive sometime in 2011. i cant imagine having boys after having Brooke. BUT if we were to end up with boys, i would prefer twin boys. Ant and i are really split; he wants just 1 more and i really want 2 more. he and i both only have one sibling each and i just dont want Brooke to be left with very little family like we are. i have one sister (a half sister at that), and she is 1000 miles away. Ant has one brother who is younger and that is it. i have once cousin who is very close like a sister but her and her husband do not have any children yet. Brookeee has DH's parents all to herself and i bet it will be that way for a very long time. i bet she likes it that way because gram and gramp make over her and she's a spoiled baby!!!

a few changes have happened this year... i was unfortunately forced to change jobs due to the economy. this has been a big blow for me... going from making my own schedule and seeing my own patients to now working under a doctor and seeing his patients... its a trade off that is okay. i am guaranteed work, but i will no longer have the flexible and amazing schedule. with that, i no longer work weekends or evenings. i like having the time at home with the family and now having regular people hours. BUT, i feel a bit guilty because i know that we will be moving in june. i am pretty sure that june will be the month, but if not at least i have a solid job that i like here until we do move...

poor courtney was pregnant and due in march; sadly she lost the baby and they had been trying for a better part of a year. hopefully sometime soon after the new year they will be back trying to add a new little member of our family.

well i am needed by the little one.... off to my mommy duties!

i cant believe that brooke will be 1 soon. its been hectic with her party coming up and then turning around and going on our summer vacation the next day!!!

a lot is going on for us... we have finally decided (well i didn't really get a choice) where we will be moving so that dear husband (DH) can do his medical residency... DRUM ROLL.... Ahhhhhhh, So CAL! UGHHHHHHHHHH!!!! really? of all the places that were on his short list... connecticut, chicago, minnesota, and we decide on california. dh is now doing residency at a prosthetic practice here and will be graduating in dec. we will be moving around march or so. WHICH.... is right when my cousin courtney's baby is due!!!! so this will be a crazy few months til then.

so it has been a while...

i don't really realize how long it has been since i have blogged until i get on her and look. so much has happened this year... i don't know just where to start...

well since the holidays last December i have:
wrecked my car
bought a new bmw
moved
found out we were having a baby
found out we were having a girl
was in a wedding
my grandmother moved her from CA
started my real job since graduating

it all seems like it hasn't happened so quickly but it has.

So, baby is due 8/18. Funny, because 8/18 is our anniversary. my family was hoping she would be born maybe on 08/08/08. my mom said she would have the most amazing luck... so now 31 weeks in to this and with only 67 more days to go, i am growing more tired, cranky and big everyday. i don't do well with the heat, and especially now, i hate it. Anthony and i are just waiting for the arrival or the little one... I am not gunna say her name here, it will be a SURPRISE... i have what i think will be my last ultrasound on the 17th and Anthony is waiting to take any tags of her little baby clothes until then just in case... he is deep down hoping she will be a he. but i know better, in fact, i knew she was a girl even before the first ultrasound. i just cant wait to meet her. after all this time anticipating her and carrying her everywhere i want to meet her!!!
